Each day I devote some time to self-care in the form of yoga, exercise, prayer, mediation, and journaling. I used to think that sacrificing those things made me selfless and devoted. But I have found that when I carefully tend to my own emotional, physical, and spiritual needs, I am infinitely better at serving others from a peaceful, loving and joyful place.
