Happiness is a Choice.

Happiness is the choice I make today. It does not rest on my circumstances, but on my frame of mind...In cultivating the habits of happiness, I attract the people and situations that match its frequency. I smile more often, give praise more often, give thanks more often, and am glad more often. For such is my choice today.
— Marianne Williamson

What do you think about this idea? If it's true, why don't I spend more time choosing happiness?

Josh came to me this morning a little concerned about my mood lately. I've been a bit 'off' the past two weeks. I think I know why but it got me to thinking... why? Maybe my own preconceived conditions for happiness aren't fully present in my life, but ultimately it doesn't really matter. If happiness is a choice -- I plan on making it a habit!
