I fell in love with this quote and have had this beautiful print as my screen saver for months now. Every time I sit down to the computer it reminds me of one of my greatest gifts in life, our three children, and how blessed I am to spend my days loving them. It has recently inspired me to begin a new personal project focused on documenting the intense love I feel for each of our precious babies. But, the truth is, I wouldn't be half the mother without Josh who loves our children equally, so I'll be including him in the project as well.
I plan on keeping my cameras close by and create images that illustrate all the love I carry in my heart for each of our sweet babes.
I started off yesterday, when I had the rare opportunity to be on my own at Audrey's school pick up. I was overwhelmed with gratitude for being her mother and I'll never forget how her smile, when she saw me there waiting, lit up my heart with happiness.
This image was inspired by the beautiful and talented, Jennifer Nobriga, whom I had the pleasure of meeting at the shootout a few months back. Just so you know, her version is a whole lot better at mine! And I am so grateful for the idea, thanks friend.
I'm confident the type of camera I use will be dependent upon the lighting and location, and won't really matter. I shot this with the digital but do intend to try and include the film camera, and hope the project will help me along my journey into film, in the most authentic of ways. In the end, that my child feel and know they are loved is simply the only goal I have in mind.
I'll be posting as I go and I'm hoping ya'll can help me come up with a fun name, so please throw anything out there that comes to mind. The only thing I have so far is 'Project Parenthood', but I'm sure we can do better than that. Although the more I think about it, it is equal parts gratitude for the gift of motherhood/parenthood.
As always, I'm sharing lots of love for you today, go ahead and hit that love button down there, smile big and let it all soak in!
