FEATURED | Let The Kids.
It's been two months since I first held the contax 645 in my hands. I remember how nervous I was shooting the first two rolls. There are a handful of images that I truly love (and will soon be framing) but I am most grateful for all of the love and support that friends, family and even friends I've yet to meet have offered me throughout this learning process. The comments, likes, texts, emails and advice and encouragement have spoken straight to my heart. This is more than figuring out a new camera. I am searching for the best way to serve and love others who I am fortunate enough to photograph.
I am truly honored, and a bit in disbelief, to have my first film work featured on the incredibly inspiring blog, Let the Kids. The founder and curator, Wendy Laurel, is among one of my favorite film photographers. I have been adoring her work for years and one of the many reasons I took the leap of faith and jumped in head first into this beautiful world of film.
So how about you, when was the last time you tried something new? How did it feel and where did it lead you? And for those shooting film, do you remember what was on those first few rolls?
